Contract Engineering Service
During our considerable experience working within the Manufacturing Environment many of our Clients have a growing number of projects which remain undeveloped due to lack of skills or resources. Typical applicatons include:
- Health & Safety Improvements following Risk Assessment or Workplace Inspection
- Environmental Improvements
- Legal Compliance Audits, for SEPA, LA, ISO14,001.
- Site Plans - produced on Autocad format to include a variety of Services mapping
- Identify Energy Saving and Productivity Improvement Potential
- CDM Management
RCS can offer an experienced design engineer to visit your site, understand the issues and identify what needs to be done. In most cases this will involve an initial no obligation site visit to identify the scope of work and determine outline solutions.
The next step would be a formal agreement with RCS to supply engineering resource to develop the project as far as you wish, from a simple cost saving analysis or basic legal compliance to full design and implementation working alongside your own Engineering and Health and Safety resources.
Typical Recent Examples include:
SEPA information - Resource Utilisation, Energy Reduction Plan, Stack Emission Monitoring, Effluent Records, IPC Permit variations and submissions
Risk Assessment - Typically the risk assessment process produces actions which can be overwhelming. Currently we are working with a Client to improve processes for both safety and productivity.
Accident investigation - Prevent re-occurrance and identify contributory factors. This can include developing safe systems of work and work instructions.
Facilities Management - Document utilities to AutoCad showing isolation and redundant services.
Continuous Improvement - Relocation of exisiting equipment to improve workflow and continuous improvement to include storage and support functions.
Site Safety - Develop solutions for small scale projects such as access ladders, waste handling, machine guarding, PPE development.
Control of Contractors - Develop systems to control contractor activities on site to include; evaluation questionnaire, pre-start inductions, CDM requirements, Support and development.
CDM Co-Ordinator - Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 dictate that significant construction work shall require the appointment of a CDM Co-ordinator to provide sound engineering and safety support throughout the project. This role has been fulfilled for a current Client as part of a major 18 month expansion program.
